Privacy Policy

Aamdani is built around a simple promise: we never see your bank login, and we keep only the transaction data, not your inbox. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, and who we work with.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email, and, if you choose to add it, your phone or WhatsApp number.
- Transaction data: the amount, merchant, date, and category we pull from the bank emails you forward, plus any cash transactions you add by hand.
- Basic usage and device information needed to run the service securely.
- Billing records when you subscribe to Pro.
What we do not collect
We never ask for your bank login or your email password. We do not read your wider inbox. We only receive the specific emails you forward to your Aamdani address.
What happens to a forwarded email
When an email reaches your forwarding address, we read it, extract the transaction, and save that result. We then delete the raw email. We keep a one-way hash of the message only so the same transaction is not recorded twice. The email body is never stored.
How we use your data
- To show you your transactions, budgets, reports, and savings.
- To send alerts and reminders you have opted into.
- To take payments and manage your subscription.
- To answer your questions and keep the service secure.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for outside advertising.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run Aamdani. They only process data on our behalf and under agreement:
- Hosting and database providers that run the app and store your account.
- An AI provider (Anthropic) that reads the forwarded email text to extract the transaction.
- An email provider that sends you account and product emails.
- Paddle, our payment provider and merchant of record, which processes subscriptions and billing.
- A messaging provider, only if you turn on WhatsApp alerts.
We may also share data if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the service.
Where your data is stored
Some of our providers operate servers outside Pakistan. Wherever your data is processed, we require appropriate protection for it. Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited, and secrets are kept out of our source code.
Who on our side can access your data
Someone has to be able to fix the database when something breaks, so we do hold the access needed to operate the service. We have built things so we do not need it for everyday work. Our routine tools show only operational details, like whether your account is active or how many transactions you have, and never the contents of your transactions.
We do not read your transaction data except when it is genuinely needed to run or fix the service, for example to investigate a bug you have reported. When anyone on our side does access raw data, that access is recorded in an internal log, so it stays accountable. We will never read your data out of curiosity, and we will never sell or share it for marketing.
Your choices and rights
- You can view and edit your data inside the app at any time.
- You can export your data from your settings.
- You can delete your account, which removes your data, from your settings.
- You can turn notifications on or off whenever you like.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and transaction data for as long as your account is open. When you delete your account, we remove your data, except for the limited records we are required to keep for legal or accounting reasons.
Children
Aamdani is for people aged 18 and over. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will tell you about any major change.
